5
For a child has been born to us, a
son has been given to us. And authority has settled on his shoulders. He
has been named "The Mighty God is planning grace;
The Eternal Father,
a peaceable ruler - 6
a token of abundant authority and of peace
without limit upon David's throne and kingdom, that it may be
firmly established
in justice and equity now and
evermore. |
6
For a child is born to us, a son
is given to us. And
the
government will rest on his shoulders. These will be the royal titles;
Wonderful Councilor, Prince of Peace. 7 His ever expanding,
peaceful government will never end. He will rule forever with fairness and justice from the throne of his
ancestor David. The passionate commitment of the Lord almighty will
guarantee this!
|
31
You will become pregnant and have a son, and you are to name
him Jesus. 32 He will be very great and will be called the Son
of the Most High. And the Lord God
will give him the throne of his ancestor David. 33 And he will reign
over
Israel forever; his kingdom will
never end!"

Jeremiah 33:14-15
(NLT) |
Luke 1:68-71
(NLT) |
14 See days are
coming- declares the Lord-when I will fulfill the promise that I made
concerning the House of Israel and the House of Judah.15
In those days and at that time, I will raise the true branch of David's
line,
and he shall do what is just and right in the land. |
14 "The day will
come, says the LORD, when I will do for Israel and Judah all the good that I
have promised them. 15 At
that time I will bring to the throne of David a righteous descendant,
and I will do what is just and right throughout the land. |
68 Praise the
Lord, the God of Israel, because he has visited his people and redeemed
them. 69 He has sent us a
mighty Savior from the royal line of David, 70
just as he promised through his holy
prophets long ago. 71 Now we will be saved from our enemies,
and from all who hate us. |
Jeremiah 33:17
(Tanakh) |
Jeremiah 33:17
(NLT) |
Timothy 2:8
(NKJV) |
17 For thus
said the LORD:
There shall never be
an end to men of David's line who sit upon the throne of the House of
Israel. |
17
David will forever have a descendant sitting on the throne of Israel. |
2 Remember
that Jesus Christ,
of the seed of
David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel. |
Jeremiah 33:19-21
(Tanakh) |
Jeremiah 33:19-21
(NLT) |
Revelation 5:5
(NKJV) |
19 The
word of the LORD came to Jeremiah: 20 Thus said the Lord: If
you could break My covenant with the day and my covenant with the
night, so that day and night should not come at their proper time, 21 only then could My
covenant with My servant David be broken-so that he would not have a
descendant reigning upon his throne-or with My ministrants,
the levitical priests. |
19
Then this message came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 20 "If you
can break my covenant with the day and night so that they do not
come on their usual schedule,
21 only then will my covenant with David, my servant, be broken. Only then will he no longer
have a descendant to reign on his throne.
The same is true
with my Levitical priest who minister before me. |
5
But one of the elders said to me. "Do
not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah,
the root of David, has
prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals." |
Jeremiah 33:25-26
(Tanakh) |
Jeremiah 33:26 |
Matthew 1:1-2
(NKJV) |
25
Thus said the LORD; As surely as I have established My covenant with
the day and night-the laws of heaven and earth- 26 so I will never
reject the offspring of Jacob and My servant David; I will never
fail to take from his offspring rulers for the descendants of
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Indeed, I will restore their
fortunes and take them back in love. |
26
I will never abandon the
descendants of Jacob or David, my servant, or change the plan that
David's descendants will rule the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and
Jacob, Instead, I will restore them to their land and have
mercy on them."

(NKJV) |
Matthew 9:27-29
(NKJV) |
12 When your days are done and you lie with
your fathers,
I will raise
up your offspring after you, one of your own issue, and I will
establish his kingship. 13 He shall build a house for
My name, and I will establish his royal throne forever. 14 I
will be a father to him and he shall be a son to me. |
12 "When your days are
fulfilled and you rest with your fathers,
I will set up your seed
after you, who will come from your body and I will establish his
kingdom. 13 "He shall build a house for My name and I
will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 14 For I
will be his father and he will be my son". |
27
When Jesus departed from
there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, "Son of
David, have mercy on us." 28 and when He had come into
the house the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, "Do you
believe that I am able to do this?. They said to Him, "Yes Lord."
29 Then He touched their eyes, saying according to your faith
let it be to you." |

Messiah House
11"When your days
are done and you follow your fathers, I will raise up your
offspring after you, one of your own sons, and I will establish a
kingship 12 He shall build a house for Me, and
I will
establish his throne forever. 13
I will be a father to him,
and he shall be a son to Me,
but I will never withdraw My
favor from him as I withdraw it from your predecessor. 14 I will install him in My
house and in My kingship forever, and his throne shall be
established forever." |
11 And it shall be,
when your days are fulfilled, when you must go to be with
your fathers, that
I will
set up your seed after you, who will be of your sons; and I will
establish his kingdom.
12 He shall build Me
a house, and I will establish his throne forever.
13 I will be his
Father, and he shall be My son; and I will not take My mercy
away from him, as I took it from him who was before
you.
14 And
I will establish him in My
house and in My kingdom forever; and his throne shall be established
forever.”

But a shoot shall grow out of the the stump of Jesse* (*King David's
father), a twig shall sprout from his stock
2 The
spirit of the the Lord shall alight upon him: a spirit of wisdom and
insight, a spirit of council and insight, a spirit of counsel and
valor, a spirit of devotion and reverence for the Lord. |
1
There shall come forth a rod
from the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out his roots.
2 The spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the
spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might,
the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. |
30
But he was a prophet, and he knew
God had promised with an
oath that one of David's own descendants would sit on David's throne
as the Messiah. 31 David was looking into the future
and predicting the Messiah's resurrection. |

Matthew 22:41-46 |
35
I will not violate my covenant, or change what I have uttered. 36
I have sworn by my holiness, once and for all; I will not be false
to David. His line shall continue forever, his throne, as the sun
before Me, |
35
Once I have sworn by my holiness;
I will not lie to David; 36
His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me. |
41 Then surrounded by the Pharisees,
Jesus asked them a question: 42 "What
do you think about the Messiah?
Whose son is he?" They replied "He is the
son of David." |

10 For the sake of
Your servant David do not reject your anointed one.
11
The Lord swore to David a firm oath that He will renounce, "One of
your own issue I will set upon your throne. 12 If your
sons keep My covenant and My decrees that I teach them, then their
sons also, to the end of time; shall sit upon your throne." 13
For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His seat 14
"This is my resting place for all time; here I will dwell, for I
desire it. |
10 For the sake of
your servant David, do not reject the King you chose for your
people. 11 The Lord
swore to David a promise He will never take back: "I will place one
of your servants on your throne. 12 "If your servants
obey the terms of my covenant and follow the decrees that I teach
them, then your royal line will never end." 13 For the Lord
has chosen Jerusalem; he has desired it as his home. 14 "This
is my home where I will live forever," he said "I will live here for
this is the place I desired. |

2
For I said, "Steadfast love will be built
up forever; in the heavens you will establish your faithfulness."
3 You have said, "I
have made a covenant with my chosen one; I have sworn to David my
servant: 4 I will
establish your offspring forever, and build your throne for all
generations.'"
